Maine Snubbed from All-Star Team

John Maine(9-4, 2.74 ERA) is not on the NL All Star team. I’m not exactly sure how or why he did not make it but let’s take a look at two guys who beat him out.

1). Cole Hammels, Phillies. (9-4, 3.87 ERA)
Maine has the same record yet allows one less run a game. Plus, Maine thoroughly out pitched Hammels, head to head, two days ago.

2). Brian Fuentes, Rockies. (0-4, 4.17 ERA)
Enough said.

I know every year there is always someone who gets snubbed, but this one is a joke. Just look at the numbers, folks.

Congratulations to Bill Wagner who made the team with an absolutely dominating first half. Wagner joins Reyes, Beltran and Wright for the Mets.

Maine did get robbed. I'll give you Hamels but Fuentes? Come on. New York bias at its best.
